Meet the Pre-Novices

The new classes have arrived in our three pre-novitiate houses: Casa Santa Teresita (in Houston, for the PCM, Chicago, Province), Saint Eliseus Priory (in Tappan, NY, for the Saint Elias (NY) Province) and Casa del> Carmen (in Mexico City). Here are the incoming guys:

Luis Jesus Paz Acosta, 21, is from the Carmelite Parish of Transfiguration in Torreon, Mexico. He is beginning his philosophy education and seminary training. He enjoys basketball, movies and chatting.

Jonathan Aaron Montes de Oca Alquicira, 18, was born and raised in Mexico City. He is beginning philosophy studies. He likes going to the movies, and is addicted to chocolate. He is fan of Russian iconography.

Miguel Angel Vielma Sanchez, 19, is from Mexico City, and is beginning his degree at Casa del Carmen. He listens to music, plays soccer, and likes to write. His favorite scripture passage is Matthew 7:17.
Christopher Lesher, 22, is a life-long resident of Illinois; born and raised in Bolingbrook (a suburb of Chicago). He attended the University of Illinois where he recently graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Physics with a concentration in superconductivity. He enjoys hiking, astronomy, and on-line chatting.
Jason Hungerford, 30, comes to us from Phoenix, Arizona. He was raised, though, in Grand Haven, Michigan, and served in the US Navy, 1992-94. He has a Bachelors in English from Arizona State University and a Masters in Education from the University of Phoenix. He enjoys reading, karate, and long walks.
