To See Mary In Our Lives:

Two Carmelite Sisters Profess First Vows

Quoting Blessed Titus Brandsma, a Carmelite martyr from Holland killed at the Dachau Concentration Camp in 1942, Father John Benedict Weber, O.Carm., noted that “Every Carmelite is called to be another Mary, that others should be able to see Mary in our lives.” This was part of his homily at the profession of Sister Sheryl.

Sister Sheryl Guzek, O.Carm., professed her first vows on the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, July 16, 2004, at the Carmel (Cloister) of the Sacred Heart, in Hudson, Wisconsin. Bishop Raphael Fliss (Bishop of Superior, Wisconsin) was the presider and Father John Benedict Weber, O.Carm., was the homilist.

Sister Anna Maria Lee, O.Carm., professed her first vows on July 10, 2004 in the Congregation of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, at the House Chapel of Mount Carmel Academy, In New Orleans, Louisiana. She currently teaches at the Academy there. Louis Couvillon, SC, led the profession ceremony. Profess First Vows
