The annual All Students Meeting gathered all those in initial formation in the SEL and PCM Provinces to Whitefriars Hall, January 14-17, 2005.
Father Thomas Schrader, O.Carm., president of Crespi Carmelite High School in Encino California, met with Los Angeles Mayor James Hahn, January 26, 2005, to discuss future building plans at the high school.

Carmelites Stephen Huy Tran, Jeffery Smialek and Emiel Abalahin were installed as lectors in mid-October at Whitefriars Hall by Father Michael Kissane, O.Carm., Prior Provincial of the Saint Elias (NY) Province.

Father Ronald Oakham, O.Carm., pastor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Houston, Texas, has an article in the January/February 2005 issue of Rite magazine entitled “When to Celebrate Confirmation and Eucharist with the Baptized but Uncatechized Catholic.”

Carmelites from both Provinces staffed a Carmelite information display during the Religious Education Conference in Anaheim, California, February 18-20, 2005. Shown here are Carmelites Kevin McBrien, Jeff Smialek and Tony Mazurkiewicz.

Commemorative medalions were struck for the 150th Anniversary celebration of Immaculate Conception Parish in Leavenworth, Kansas.
The centerpiece of a new plaza between the church and school buildings at Saint Joseph’s Parish in Leavenworth, Kansas, is a display of flags. The Kansas state flag, the United States flag and the Vatican flag are permanently flown, with illumination during the evening. The display was dedicated in early February with Sergeant Brendan McEvoy, of the U.S. Cavalry (Army) and nephew of the pastor, David McEvoy, O.Carm., raising the flags for the first time.

Members of the community at Whitefriars Hall sang at the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC, in January for the Archdiocese of Washington televised Mass.
