Williamstown Today
A few years ago the Saint Elias (NY) Province sold the property and
buildings of the long-time novitiate in Williamstown, Massachusetts.
Some have heard that it was converted into a bed-and-breakfast inn,
others said that it was converted into an antique automobile museum. To
find out for themselves Romaus Conney, O.Carm., and Gregory Houck,
O.Carm., visited last Fall and found out that it was simply the dwelling for
a family—no museum, no B-and-B, but well-kept. The photograph should
bring back some memories for the Carmelites who did their novitiate on
this property.
