Reverend Bob Colaresi, O.Carm., Elected Chairman of NCDC

Father Bob Colaresi was recently elected chairperson of the Board of the Directors of the National Catholic Development Conference. Serving his fourth year on the Board of Directors, Bob was elected chair at the annual convention held in Chicago.

The Society of the Little Flower has been an active member of the NCDC since 1982. The National Catholic Development Conference is the nation’s premier and largest association of Catholic fundraisers. It helps in Catholic philanthropic efforts and organizations, and holds them to the highest standards of accountability and ethics. Through its national office, NCDC also does advocacy in Congress regarding tax laws as they affect fundraising, and with the post office regarding postal rates.

The NCDC national offices are in Hempstead, New York. Sister Georgette Lehmuth, OSF, the NCDC CEO, was recently honored by the NonProfit Times as one of the top most powerful and influential persons in the non-profit world. She is the only religious person and the NCDC is the only Catholic organization so honored on this list of movers and shakers.

“I’m honored to serve with dedicated and professional NCDC people, who see the developing needs of the Church,” explains Father Bob, “and invite others to help the efforts of religious and Church organizations to serve the reign of God. Our province has been so blessed by the faith and generosity of the friends of Saint Therese.”

Father Bob Colaresi has served as Director of the Society of the Little Flower for 15 years. Besides the dramatic growth in the United States and Canadian offices, he has spearheaded the opening of the Society of the Little Flower in the United Kingdom to help the General Council with Carmelite growth and ministries in Africa and Asia.
