Father Jerry Payea is a priest who lives the Carmelite charism. He is an absolutely modest guy, who gives of himself graciously and is very dedicated to serving others. It had been about three years since I last saw Father Jerry. I asked him to stop by. I wanted to know how he was doing and a little about Lurin, Peru, where he serves.

Saint Anastasia: 100 Years of Faith

Carmelite Forum Opens Third Season Lecture Series

On February 13th the Carmelite Forum of New Jersey opened its third lecture season with the theme: Some Things Have Changed…What Has Changed in the Catholic Church. This year the series featured four speakers one each month in February, March, April and May. Each evening was presented in a Carmelite parish. Admission to each was free.

Friends Matter

Saint Bernadette Church Bids Adieu to Carmelites

Both a joyful and sad ceremony marked the “Carmelite Legacy” April 20th as parishioners of Saint Bernadette Catholic Church in Clear Lake bid farewell to Father J.J. McCarthy, their pastor for the past 12 years, Father Adrian Wilde, associate pastor for 10 years and other Carmelite priests who had served there over the past 31 years.
