As I was reading the Carmelite Review Edtorial, the mention of the book, "Climbing the Mountain." It had come to my mind the journey that started many years ago when I was first introduced to St. Teresa of Avila. Around 1989 - 90. Something dramatic happened to me that was terrifying. The thought that came to me was to ask St. Teresa of Avila to pray for me. When I asked herall the fear was gone. Then I had total peace. In reality, I didn't know who she was. "I never heard of her before." After having this experience, the search was on. I had to know who is she, and why did she help me.

I have learned many things about Carmlite saints and about their spirituality. All that I can say is I have this feeling inside of me that I want more. "Climbing the Mountain" has awakened that fire within me again to search for that path to follow after that so many have traveled to be in love with God.
